USA – Pluto return on February 20, 2022

The effect of the Pluto return will be for a period of one year from January 2022. The communications industries (like air, land, sea, etc) will be under stress. There will be imbalance in the trade (imports/exports). There will be dispute with the neighboring countries. The relationship with the foreign allies will not be satisfactory. There will be major downward correction in the stock markets as far as US markets are concerned. The USA will participate in war with some of its allies like Afghanistan. Its trade deficit will be affected. There will be rise in COVID and the Government will find it difficult to contain it. The financial indices will be affected and Government will be forced to borrow in order to contain its deficit. There will be minor communal disturbances. There will be total revamp on the treasury.

Analysis Transit of a natal planet to its original position as was during birth is known as “Planetary Returns”. In both vedic and western astrology its given tremendous importance, especially when it comes to planetary returns of slow-moving planets like Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu/Ketu, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. In the case of USA, the Pluto which takes approximately 248 years for one rotation around the zodiac, will return to the same position as was in the nation’s chart on February 20, 2022. Planetary return chart is cast for the exact moment when such return takes place. This chart is then compared with the natal chart. The combined chart of nation as well as the Pluto return charts are given below.

In the above chart following are worth noting;

1. The Pluto Return (will henceforth be referred to as “PR”) Ascendant (Asc) is in the 7^th house at 19 degrees Gemini.
2. The PR-Moon (lord of 8^th) is in the 10^th house in trine to natal (henceforth will be referred to as “NA”) Mars (lord of 5^th) in the 7^th house.
3. The PR-MC (10^th) is in the 3^rd house is in quincunx to NA-Pars of fortuna in the 8^th house.
4. PR-Sun (lord of 9^th) in 3^rd house is quincunx to NA-MC.
5. PR-Sun (lord of 9^th) in 3^rd house is trine to NA-Venus (lord of 6^th,10^th & 11^th) in the 7^th house.
6. PR-Rahu (12^th)/Ketu(6^th) is in square to NA-Moon in the 3^rd house.
7. PR-Saturn (lord of 2^nd) in 2^nd house is sesquiquadrate to NA-Venus (lord of 6^th, 10^th & 11^th) in the 7^th house.
8. PR-Mercury (7^th & 9^th) in the 2^nd house is sesquiquadrate to NA-Mars (lord of 5^th) in the 7^th house. Also, PR-Mercury is quincunx is NA-Jupiter (lord of Asc) in the 7^th house.
9. PR-Jupiter (lord of Asc) in the 3^rd house is sesquiquadrate to NA-Pars of fortuna. Also, PR-Jupiter is square to both NA-ASC/DSC.
10. PR-Saturn (lord of 2^nd) in 2^nd house is sesquiquadrate to NA-Venus (lord of 6^th,10^th & 11^th) in the 7^th house.
11. PR-Uranus (lord of 3^rd) in the 5^th house is quincunx to NA-Asc.
12. PR-Neptune (lord of 3^rd) in the 3^rd house is in Opposition to NA-Neptune in the 9^th house. Also, PR-Neptune is square to NA-Mars (lord of 5^th) in the 7^th house. Also, PR-Neptune is sesquiquadrate to NA-Rahu in the 8^th house.
13. PR-Pluto (lord of 12^th) in the 2^nd house is sesquiquadrate to NA-DSC.

When we have so many aspects getting formed, we need to grade the above in terms of nature of aspects and frequency (i.e. planets which are outer to the earth and therefore slow-moving) of the PR-Planets.

Based on these two factors, we will give importance in the desecending order from Pluto, to Neptune, to Saturn, to Rahu/Ketu and finally to Jupiter and also will give priority to Conjunction and Opposotion, then to square and trine and then to other types of aspects (i.e. sesquiquadrate and quincunx). The third in preference will be of sextile. However, the sextile aspects in the above charts are few in number.The aspects formed by sesquiquadrate and quincunx are of minor effect and will act as a subsidiary to the conjunction/opposition and square/trine.

1. Based on aspects (conjunction/opposition and square/trine), and on frequency, the ascending order of importance will be as follows;

1. PR-Neptune (lord of 3^rd) in the 3^rd house is in Opposition to NA-Neptune in the 9^th house.
2. PR-Neptune (lord of 3^rd) is square to NA-Mars (lord of 5^th) in the 7^th house.
3. PR-Rahu (12^th)/Ketu(6^th) is in square to NA-Moon in the 3^rd house.
4. PR-Jupiter (lord of Asc) is square to both NA-ASC/DSC.
5. PR-Sun (lord of 9^th) in 3^rd house is trine to NA-Venus (lord of 6^th,10^th & 11^th) in the 7^th house.
6. The PR-Moon (lord of 8^th) is in the 10^th house in trine to natal (henceforth will be referred to as “NA”) Mars (lord of 5^th) in the 7^th house.

2. Based on the other aspects (other than Conjunction/Opposition and Square/Trine), and frequency the ascdending order of importance will be as follows; These are basically malefic aspects.

1. PR-Pluto (lord of 12^th) in the 2^nd house is sesquiquadrate to NA-DSC.
2. PR-Neptune (lord of 3^rd) is sesquiquadrate to NA-Rahu in the 8^th house.
3. PR-Uranus (lord of 3^rd) in the 5^th house is quincunx to NA-Asc.
4. PR-Saturn (lord of 2^nd) in 2^nd house is sesquiquadrate to NA-Venus (lord of 6^th, 10^th & 11^th) in the 7^th house.
5. PR-Jupiter (lord of Asc) in the 3^rd house is sesquiquadrate to NA-Pars of fortuna.
6. The PR-MC (10^th) is in the 3^rd house is in quincunx to NA-Pars of fortuna in the 8^th house.
7. PR-Sun (lord of 9^th) in 3^rd house is quincunx to NA-MC.
8. PR-Mercury (7^th & 9^th) in the 2^nd house is sesquiquadrate to NA-Mars (lord of 5^th) in the 7^th house. Also, PR-Mercury is quincunx is NA-Jupiter (lord of Asc) in the 7^th house.

Now, let us take from the (A) above one by one and analyse the possible outcomes;

5. PR-Sun (lord of 9^th) in 3^rd house is trine to NA-Venus (lord of 6^th,10^th & 11^th) in the 7^th house. This aspect will not be effective as the Sun is a fast moving lumimary.
6. The PR-Moon (lord of 8^th) is in the 10^th house in trine to natal (henceforth will be referred to as “NA”) Mars (lord of 5^th) in the 7^th house. This will not have much effect as the Moon is a fast moving luminary.  

Now, let us take from the (B) above one by one and analyse the possible outcomes; We will only anallyse the slowing moving planet’s aspect from the above.

1. PR-Pluto (lord of 12^th) in the 2^nd house is sesquiquadrate to NA-DSC. The Government will face resource crunch and there will be negative impact on the finaincial indices. There will be total revamp on the treasury.
2. PR-Neptune (lord of 3^rd) is sesquiquadrate to NA-Rahu in the 8^th house. The relationship with the neighbouring countries will not be good.
3. PR-Uranus (lord of 3^rd) in the 5^th house is quincunx to NA-Asc. The stock market will see a decline.
4. PR-Saturn (lord of 2^nd) in 2^nd house is sesquiquadrate to NA-Venus (lord of 6^th, 10^th & 11^th) in the 7^th house. The trade deficit will be under pressure due to which the revenues of the Government will be affected.
5. PR-Jupiter (lord of Asc) in the 3^rd house is sesquiquadrate to NA-Pars of fortuna. The relationship with the neighbours will not be good.
6. The other aspects of inner planets namely Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars are of secondary importance and hence not considered.
