I have been writing several articles earlier on Mundane and Political astrology. I was too tied up with my other work due to which I could not contribute articles in my website. My friends who are into Ayurveda have shown interest in Vedic Astrology. Their main objective is to learn how to use Astrology to treat their patients. Yes, it is true that, If you have the birth details of your patient you can for sure find out what are the elements (like Vata, Pitta and Kapha) his body is made of, whether the period is bad or good, which part of the body is likely to be affected, etc.
Now let us discuss the relationship of Ayurveda with Astrology. I am not going to discuss anything about Ayurveda as you are the masters in the subject.
Our body is mainly made of three “Doshas”. They are vata, pitta and Kapha. These three doshas tells you everything about the person. For example a person of Vata nature are prone to nervous problems, brain related, arthritis, etc. The person with Pitta are prone to acidity, headaches, fevers, etc. The person with Kapha are prone to cough, cold, obesity, etc. There are many such diseases that we can pin point by looking at the horoscope. Any imbalance in the doshas causes diseases. These doshas are modifications and combinations of five elements namely fire, earth, air, water and ether.
Vata dosha…It is connected to two elements are they are wind and air. The main planet ruling over this dosha is Saturn. Also Mercury. It is cold, dry, light in nature, highly mobile just like air!. They are ever changing and active. Intelligent.
Pitta dosha….It is connected to fire element. The two main planets are Sun and Mars. Both are hot and fiery in nature. That is the reason when you find a person with predominant Sun or Mars he is very hot and angry nature. It is hot, light, forceful nature, etc.
Kapha dosha….It is connected to water element. The main planets are Moon and Venus. It is cold, heavy, they are immobile, tendency to put weight, etc.
For now let us stop here. Will post more interesting articles on planets and signs. Thereafter, on how to recognise the person through the patient’s horoscope.
