The year 2014 is going to end now and we will soon witness 2015. We have lots of hopes from the new government and the nature as well. It is anybody’s guess as to what it has in store for us. But as an astrologer, I would like to give my perspective based on the play of planets.
The new year is when the new moon occurs in Pisces for a particular country. Subsequently, we study the Sun’s entry into various signs beginning from Aries and also new moon charts for each month and also the eclipse charts for various months. These charts are then linked to India Independence day chart, Republic day chart and also the Prime Minister’s chart (hope the chart is correct?).
The new year chart for 2015 is as follows;
The year is ”Manmatha”, which means the year with “giving mixed results”. The new moon takes place in the 11th house of the India Independence chart and in the 1st house of the Republic day chart. There is also a chart adopted by our ancient astrologers with Capricorn as India’s chart. So the new moon occurs in 3rd house as well. In such a case, the following could be the results that can be expected.
Since the new moon is in 11th house, there will be many treaties and agreements signed by the government with foreign counter parts, alliances with them, gains from other nations, etc. Since the new moon is afflicted by Rahu/Ketu and Mars, there will be struggles and retaliation by the opposition. Further, as per the Republic day chart it falls on the Lagna and being afflicted as said before, there will be general sense of dis-satisfaction amongst the people. As per the Capricorn chart, since it falls on the 3rd house, the relationship with neighbouring countries will pose a big challenge, there will be accidents in the communications sector.
King of the Year
The day on which the new moon takes place is known as the “King of the year”. The new year is on March 20, 2015 and its Friday. So the king is “Venus”. Venus in mundane astrology is denoted by as FROG. The frog leaps. So, there will be lots of actions and measures taken which will be like a frog taking a leap. The general significations of Venus “if not afflicted” will be …..there will be victory and prosperity all around with plenty of god crops and rains. New treaties and agreements will be signed and there will be generally contentment prevailing in the country. Now since, Venus in the sanghatta chakra is afflicted by Saturn and Mars the effect will be directly opposite to what has been stated above. Venus is also with gulika.
Minister of the Year
This is the lord of the day when Sun enters the sign Aries. Sun enters Aries on April 14, 2015 on Tuesday. So the minister is “Mars”. When Mars is the minster of the year and is afflicted then……..rulers commits acts of injustice, people suffer weapons and fire, trade suffers and rain is scanty.

This is when the lord of the day when Sun enters Gemini is Ardra constellation. This is also known as Ardra Pravesha Kundali. The ardra pravesh is on June 22, 2015. The lord of the day is Monday ruled by Moon. So there will be plenty of rain and its good for agriculture and crops. In the chart, Scorpio lagna rises with Saturn in it. Further, Jupiter, Venus are in cancer which is again a watery sign. Ketu is in watery sign. Mars in airy sign Gemini. The lagna lrd mars is in the 8th housed and combust. Many planets are between Rahu/ketu excpt Saturn. However, in the navamsa there is only Mars in the watery sign. So the rainfall will not be in plenty. There will be scanty rainfall in many parts of the country. In the sapta nadi chakra also many planets are in the nakshatra which is not conducive for good rains, except Venus and Jupiter in Ashlesha (which is Amrit) and Moon in P.phalguni (which is Jala).
Now let us venture in deciphering the monthly ingress charts from Aries on wards.
In this article, I will only for the present discuss the Aries Ingress chart. The other charts will be taken up for discussion later on separately on individual basis.

Transits during the period are as follows;
Mercury, transiting from Aries to Taurus on April 28, 2015.
Venus, transiting from Taurus to Gemini on May 3, 2015
Mars, transiting from Aries to Taurus on May 4, 2015
Likely events:
1. In the ingress chart the 3rd house signifies the neighbouring countries, communication sectors, telecommunications, news paper industry, journalism, rumours, trade with neighbours, tensions at the borders, etc.
The 3rd house in the ingress of chart has Rahu and the 3rd lord Mercury is in the 10th close to Sun, combust and also with Mars. Around April 27, 2015, the lord of 3rd house, Mercury transits the 10th house, aspected by Rahu and retrograde Saturn. This period will have stressed relationship with neighbors, accidents in the communication sectors, tensions at the border will increase, trade with neighbors will get affected.
On comparing the India Independence chart vis-a-vis the Ingress chart, then Venus the lord of lagna of India Independence chart is in the lagna. But lagna is afflicted by the aspects of Saturn and Rahu.
Similarly, the 3rd house though has Jupiter, it is aspected by Mars, ketu and retrograde Saturn. On May 4, 2015 Mars will transit Taurus, the Lagna of India Independence chart. This makes the lagna very vulnerable for happenings of negative events.
2. Similarly, the lord of 12th house Mercury as said above is afflicted in the ingress chart and getting ignited in transit around the above date. So we can expect widespread protests, epidemics, territorial attacks, expenditure will be high, conspiracies on India by foreign countries, secret plots, etc. The ingress occurs in the 12th house of the independence chart.
3. The 11th house has Venus, but it is aspected by retrograde Saturn and Rahu. On May 4, 2015 Mars also a malefic transits the 11th house. The 11th house signifies income of government, legislations, council of ministers, parliament, agreements with foreign countries, allies of India, etc.
In the ingress chart the 11th house is aspected by Saturn and Rahu and is further ignited by the transit of Mars on May 4, 2015 into 11th house, Taurus. There is likely to be re-shuffle of ministers, legislation will be objected by the opposition, some of allies will turn as enemies, etc.
4. The 2nd house lord Sun exalted in the 10th house and 11th lord Venus in the 11th will also give positive impact on the wealth of country.
